Summer Camps
Pinecrest campers explore the great outdoors, climb a tree, swim, slip and slide in the mud, canoe the Wolf River, challenge the ropes course, sing, dance, play flashlight tag, and make cool things. Pinecrest campers study the Bible, figure out who they are in God’s world, and make new friends. A little old school, a whole lot of good, clean fun, Pinecrest summers give campers great stories to tell all year long…till they meet again!
In Focus for 2012!
Imaginarium Day Camp is for kids not quite ready to sleep away from home (or parents who aren't quite ready). As necessary, we'll provide transportation to and from Collierville, TN and perhaps Somerville, TN, play all day, and sleep in their own beds at night. (limited to 30 campers, additional fee for transportation.)
Camper Favorites!
Mini-Campers may be brand new to camping. They sleep in our cabins and have wonderful counselors who are highly trained to ensure their safety and make their days at camp very fun and successful. Almost all of our mini-campers can’t wait to come back for a whole week a year later.
Discovery Campers enjoy traditional camp fun and get to choose some of their favorite activities. Our camp days start with Huddle and small groups – time for campers to sing, hear some great Bible stories, study and reflect on God’s word. Then, it’s on to fun and games! At night, our recreation staff and counselors cook up something special – night games, barn parties, campfires… Campers gain a bit more choice and freedom in choosing their activities each year.
Middle School Campers think of Pinecrest as their own. Some of them have been here before and know the ropes. If not, it gives campers a great chance to share the Pinecrest traditions that make going to camp fun. More in-depth small group times and more advanced activities (last year, we traveled to Shiloh and road bikes – in the rain!), ensure that Middle School Camp is a top summer memory.
So, you’re artsy, huh? Beyond God's Eyes is for creative campers who see cool creations in daily living. Food, paper, architecture, theater, music...nothing's safe from our creative juices. And while we really like God's Eyes, there's so much more to make and do!
Like to stay up late? See if you can hang at Night Owl Camp. These hardy souls stay up later each night and wake up later each day. Then it’s Up All Night full of scavenger hunts, games, cooking, and other nightly pursuits on the last night. Campers sleep all the way home.
Trip Camps build community! High Schoolers love Beach Retreat, with its mixture of people, places, and sea-life. We travel to the Gulf Coast where we’re steps from the beach. We cook together, build sand castles together, study and worship together. B-Retreaters make friends for life!
Outdoor Challenge Camp has a new twist. It’s been so successful with middle-schoolers that older campers wanted to come back. Take on ropes course, rappelling, caving, white-water rafting and more. Outdoor Challenge makes a life-time memory!
